Something that’s got us talking in the studio over last week or so, is Bluebrain’s (A musical duo) latest release. Breaking away from the traditional album format, they’ve created a mobile app that uses GPS location to weave together musical themes inspired by New York’s Central Park. This means the listener is in control of what they listen to, as if they were the conductor directing an orchestra.

Various musical pieces have been written for different areas of the park; so as you approach one area you hear a piece of music that then blends into another as you leave. This means that you might hear a completely different version of the ‘album’ compared to someone else.

We think this is pretty darn cool. What d’ya think?
