Equipped with an bespoke array of tools used to create light Japan based photographer and light painter Trevor Williams creates beautiful works of art. Featuring incredible Japanese architecture in his work Trevor creates spheres, shards and spirals of geometric light. Even though light painting is nothing new just as designers continue to innovate with other materials Trevor does exactly the same with light and that’s why we love it.

The Obliteration room is a piece of interactive installation art by Yayoi Kusama, which invites kids to decorate a completely white room with colourful dots. Thats it. But it looks amazing, and gets better over time. What’s great is it was made by kids, thousands of kids- It would be nice to see this idea taken further, not limited to one aesthetic.

Puppet Parade is an interactive installation designed to give children an interactive motion experience. The project premiered at this years Cinekid Festival, created by Design I/O. Puppet Parade required the use of two Microsoft Xbox Kinects, allowing for movements to be tracked.

Users interact with the animation by flailing their arms whilst the characters mimic their movements. The children could also pet the creatures and make food for them to eat.
